About Us

Debi is one of the few Clinical Complementary Therapists to have successfully integrated Complementary Therapies into the NHS leading an award winning service recognised by The Prince's Foundation for Integrated Health. She has worked as Clinical Lead, Complementary Therapist and Lecturer for Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff for over 6 years within the NHS as well as private practice in a number of health and social care settings. She provided "The Lightest Touch" service for a Residential Care Home, working with elderly frail residents; some who suffer from dementia. This involved studying the effectiveness of light touch therapies on reducing the difficulties associated with "The Sundowning Effect" which causes agitation and anxiety in dementia patients around 2pm to 9pm. This project was kindly funded by Age Cymru and the Burdett Trust for Nursing as part of their My Home Life Project for 2014. She has lectured nationally and in Australia. Currently, Debi has completed her Open University BSc Honours degree which combined her Certiificate of Education with biological sciences modules. She is concentrating on writing course material for clinical studies lectures. She is an affiliated student member of the Royal Society of Biology.
