Facial Rejuvenating Acupuncture

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is a non-surgical treatment based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine and designed to reduce the signs of aging.
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years to treat many conditions and illnesses. Through the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the face and body, acupuncture manipulates the body’s energy flow in order to balance and remove blockages in the channels of blood and energy. This helps to rebalance the body’s natural energy flow. (Known in traditional Chinese medicine as Qi)
The face has a number of acupuncture points which can be targeted to increase the blood and energy flow in order to plump and hydrate the facial area and boost the supply of nutrients and oxygen to areas of the face which can lose tone and elasticity due to aging.
A cheaper and less drastic alternative to cosmetic surgery, it is not painful and there are no side-effects or recovery time following a treatment. Furthermore the benefits can be felt through the whole body as the energy channels flow throughout the entire system, not just one localised area.
Blemishes and wrinkles can be targeted in the 45 minute treatment which is often recommended in 6 treatments over a course of 6 weeks depending on age and skin condition. An initial set of treatments are often followed by monthly top-up sessions.
The benefits of facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture include the elimination of fine lines and the softening of deeper lines, the minimization of puffy eyes, a double chin, sagging skins and dark circles. It can help to soften scares, relax muscle tone, tighten pores and brighten the skin.  Acupuncture increases circulation, and therefore improves the look of the overall complexion as well as leaving you feeling relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated.
If you have had Botox injections, acupuncture can help to maintain its effectiveness thus reducing the number of injections needed each year.
