The one-and-only Guinot Hydradermie facial is the most advanced beauty salon treatment for maintaining a healthy complexion. Available exclusively from appointed beauty salons employing beauty therapists with the highest qualifications, this reliable facial has immediate and lasting results. It deep-cleanses and oxygenates the skin and stimulates cellular renewal. Research at Laboratoires Guinot has found that regular Hydradermie treatments benefit the skin in three key areas – improvement in cutaneous hydration level in dry skin, reduction in sebum level in oily skin, and reduction in average wrinkle depth in lined skin.
First developed as Cathiodermie in 1965 and renamed Hydradermie in 2001, the facial uses the Hydraderm machine (unique to Guinot), manual massage and a variety of plant-based extracts (hydrating aloe and shea butter, de-toxing seaweed and mint, soothing chamomile or firming malt extract). Hydradermie is suitable for all ages and skin types.
The treatment begins with an analysis of the client’s skin so the Guinot skincare expert can customise the products used in the facial to treat normal/dry, sensitive, oily, mature or hyperpigmented skin. After cleansing and exfoliating, the beauty therapist applies the carefully selected gels to the face. The next phase of the treatment involves two forms of mild electrotherapy (ionising galvanic and oxygenating high frequency). Using precision massage movements, she guides the Hydraderm machine rollers to help the active ingredients penetrate deep into the skin to remove impurities and toxins. This is followed by a relaxing massage with a nourishing vitamin E and collagen-based cream, and then the appropriate Guinot Beauty Source mask, again customised for the skin’s needs, is smoothed on the face. After it is removed, a touch of moisturiser for the eyes, face and neck are applied to conclude the one hour 15 minute treatment.
